Paul Allen

After 36 years teaching poetry writing and writing song lyrics at the College of Charleston, Charleston, SC, Paul Allen retired as Professor Emeritus.  He currently lives full time on the road in his camper.  His poetry collections include American Crawl (Vassar Miller Poetry Prize), Ground Forces (Salmon Poetry, Ireland), and the chapbook, His Longing (FootHills Publishing).  “Juice,” an essay, appears in Pushcart XXXII.  His albums of original songs are Waiting for the Last Bus and the two-disc collection of poems and songs, The Glebe Street Adios.
