David McAleavey, who teaches literature and creative writing at George Washington University in DC, has published poems in many journals, including Poetry, Georgia Review, Ploughshares – and, roughly 30 years ago, in Ascent. His fifth and most recent book of poems is HUGE HAIKU (Chax Press, Tucson, 2005), and he has work forthcoming in Poetry Northwest, Denver Quarterly, Chiron Review, Poet Lore, Connecticut Review, Gigantic, Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, Hubbub, Innisfree, Modern Haiku, and Medulla Review.
